Parents Corner
This is our virtual corner of the internet where we meet: talking, laughing (and crying), feeling safe enough to be seen, heard, and just be.
Here’s something you might not know: Monkinya comes from a children’s story I wrote almost a decade ago. It’s an imaginary village where little humans called monkins live. Who knew it would fit so perfectly when, years later, as a mother and educator, all I really wanted to create was that sense of village for families.
I hope you feel it here; the warmth, the safety, the permission to be.
At Monkinya, everything we create focuses on you as the anchor for your child's emotional resilience.
But this corner is different. This is where we move from resources to relationships, from reading on your own to being in community, from learning to doing, from ideas to experience.

01. The Digital Village: Learn & Connect
Digital Village is where we combine self-paced learning with real-life connections to make sure you’re never navigating this journey alone.
How it works:
The Core: When you purchase our on-demand course, Foundations of Resilience, you get lifetime access to the course content.
(Please be aware: This is NOT a course on parenting. We will not be telling you “what to do” or “how to be”. It is a space to understand the roots of emotional resilience and its implications for you and your child. The Bonus: Your purchase includes one free month of access to the Village, where you can join our Monthly Virtual Circles and our private Signal group.
The Choice: You are free to stay for the connection or opt out at any time. If you choose not to continue with the village membership, the course materials are yours to keep forever.
STEP 1: LEARN (The Foundation)
Foundations of Resilience Course (Self-paced, on-demand)
Understanding Resilience
To truly support our children, we first need to understand the mechanics of how they (and we!) process stress, setbacks, and challenges. This foundation provides the clarity needed to move beyond guesswork.
What you will learn:
The Architecture of Resilience: What resilience actually is and the core elements that build it.
The Power of Appraisal: How the way we interpret an event (not the event itself) shapes our emotional response.
The Mindset of Growth: How optimism and "the power of yet" function as biological tools for perseverance.
The Logic of Coping: Why we choose certain survival strategies and how to distinguish between those that help and those that hinder.
Note: Completing this foundation is required to join the Digital Village. It ensures that every member of our community shares a common understanding before joining our collective journey. In other words, this is how we ensure we all speak the same language: the language of connection.
STEP 2: CONNECT
The Digital Village
Science provides the foundation, but the "village" is where we put it into practice. This is a private space for parents who have completed the foundation and are ready to apply the principles of resilience to their daily lives through shared experience and collective support.
What happens in the Village:
The Signal Sanctuary: A private, moderated group for real-time support, "mindful reminders," and a judgment-free space to ask questions as they arise in your parenting journey.
Monthly Virtual Circles: A 60-minute live gathering to dive deeper into specific resilience themes, share challenges, and practice regulation tools together in a safe environment.
Collective Growth: A community of parents who share the same goal: raising emotionally resilient children.
Requirement: Access to the Digital Village is available exclusively to those who have completed Step 1: The Foundation. This ensures our community remains a focused and meaningful space where everyone shares a common understanding of resilience.
The Digital Village opens its doors in March 2026. Join the waitlist to be the first to know when we launch.
02. 1-1 Coaching: Finding Your Way Back to Calm
Does this feel like home right now?
You’ve tried every hack, but mornings still feel chaotic and bedtime feels like a battleground. You wonder, "Why is this so hard? Am I just not good at this?". You love your kids more than anything, but the overwhelm takes over and you're scared your stress is rubbing off on them.
If you are here, and you’re ready to move toward a deeper connection, I am here to walk that path with you.
Imagine a different rhythm now:
Deep breaths replace yelling. Moments of calm bring you and your child closer together. You’re actually guiding your child through their big feelings with confidence because you’ve learned how to stay grounded (even when they’re rolling on the supermarket floor)
Parenting feels lighter. You’ll know how to create moments of mindful play that bring joy back into your routine. You discover that you are your child’s calm anchor, tapping into exactly what you need to do to make them feel safe, seen, and loved.
Presence over perfection. It’s not about being the “perfect parent”; it’s about being a present one. You feel less overwhelmed, less guilty, and finally on the same page with your family. Mindfulness takes you deeper into yourself than you ever imagined.
We don't do generic advice. We create a realistic roadmap with small, doable steps; materials, play and beyond - tailored to your family’s unique rhythm.
(We have four life coaches in our team, focusing on different areas of parenting life. After your initial discovery call with Monkinya’s founder (and certified life and wellness coach), Merve, you will be introduced to the coach that best fits your needs.)
