Our signature workshop: Bring Mindfulness Into Your Home

Resilience isn’t just something you learn in a book. It’s something you feel, and it grows in all those little, playful moments you share with your kids.

As parents, it’s easy to get caught up in trying to fix every big feeling our kids have. But real change happens when we focus on simply being there for them, with all our attention. This workshop is about letting go of the pressure to be perfect, and instead finding small ways to bring more calm and connection into your busy, sometimes messy life.

What’s Inside the Workshop?

We’ll spend 90 minutes together, not just talking about ideas, but actually trying things out. Here’s what we’ll do:

1. The Foundation: It Starts With You First, we’ll take a breath and check in with ourselves. We’ll talk about why looking after your own feelings is the best way to help your child. If we want our kids to learn calm, we need to show them what it looks like.

2. The Power of Play Mindfulness shouldn’t feel like homework for kids. Play is their language, and it’s the best way for them to learn about feelings. We’ll look at simple & evidence-based ways to use play to help your child notice and talk about their emotions.

3. Your Mindful Toolkit (Let’s Get Practical)

  • Naming the Feeling: We’ll use tools such as story cards, simple games, and art to help kids put words to their feelings.

  • The Breath: Easy, gentle breathing tricks you can do together. Plus a little printable guide to take home.

  • The Body: Fun, simple movements and yoga for little bodies (no experience needed!); somatic awareness

  • The Calm: How to make quiet moments feel safe and special for your child, and simple ways to start with meditation if you want to try. (It is not always about sitting still, we will learn more about it!)

4. Daily Rituals How to turn everyday things, like dinner or bedtime, into small, mindful moments that bring you closer as a family.

Almost 7 years on, and I still use the techniques I learnt in “Bring Mindfulness into Your Home” workshop by Monkinya, totally worth it! Our favourite is “Name it to Tame it” And my daughter still loves playing with her yoga cards.

1-1 Coaching: Finding Your Way Back to Calm

Does this feel like home right now?

You’ve tried every hack, but mornings still feel chaotic and bedtime feels like a battleground. You wonder, "Why is this so hard? Am I just not good at this?". You love your kids more than anything, but the overwhelm takes over and you're scared your stress is rubbing off on them.

If you are here and you’re ready to move toward a deeper connection, we are here to walk that path with you.

Imagine a different rhythm now:

  • Deep breaths replace yelling. Moments of calm bring you and your child closer together. You’re actually guiding your child through their big feelings with confidence because you’ve learned how to stay grounded (even when they’re rolling on the supermarket floor)

  • Parenting feels lighter. You’ll know how to create moments of mindful play that bring joy back into your routine. You discover that you are your child’s calm anchor, tapping into exactly what you need to do to make them feel safe, seen, and loved.

  • Presence over perfection. It’s not about being the “perfect parent”; it’s about being a present one. You feel less overwhelmed, less guilty, and finally on the same page with your family. Mindfulness takes you deeper into yourself than you ever imagined.

We don't do generic advice. We create a realistic roadmap with small, doable steps; materials, play and beyond - tailored to your family’s unique rhythm.

(We have four life coaches in our team, focusing on different areas of parenting life. After your initial discovery call with Monkinya’s founder (and certified life and wellness coach), Merve, you will be introduced to the coach that best fits your needs.)

Mindulness Matters!

In a world filled with constant stimuli, children need the tools to find their own inner quiet. Method Eline Snel (also known as the "Sitting Still Like a Frog" method) is a world-renowned, evidence-based mindfulness program developed by Eline Snel for children aged 4–12.

The "Attention Muscle"

This method treats attention like a muscle that can be strengthened through practice. By learning to "sit still like a frog," children discover how to:

  • Calm a "mind full of thoughts" and improve their focus and concentration.

  • Navigate emotions (both pleasant and unpleasant) without being overwhelmed.

  • Build resilience by responding to stress with kindness rather than reacting automatically.

  • Develop self-confidence and a non-judgmental attitude toward themselves and others.
